Would you like a free mindfulness assessment and coaching session?

I’m happy to share the news that September 20th — October 5th, I’m offering a collection of free coaching sessions. I’ve spent a year and a half offering financial coaching and life coaching, and I believe in receiving every connection and every session as a gift. I’m sharing some of my time with you all as a gift, as well.

Here’s what you can expect from this hour with me:

  • A mindful body scan to start our time together, calm the mind, and reconnect with the bo
  • A mindfulness assessment using the three centers: body, heart, and mind
  • Coaching on any specific topics you’d like guidance on
  • No sales without consent. I will share the value of my coaching and trust you to know whether it’s right for you or not.

Mindful body scan

Meeting with someone new for the first time can be nerve-wracking, especially if it’s a professional like a coach, therapist, or mentor. I will lead us through a 5-10 minute practice to help calm the mind and reconnect with the body.

This is how I start all of my sessions with life coaching clients. So many things can happen throughout the week to distract our attention and aggravate the body’s nervous system. When we’re intentional about grounding and centering right off the bat, the rest of the session has more freedom to evolve into something new.

Sometimes, I do a very short meditation with clients; other times, they request something longer and I lead them through a guided practice.

Mindfulness assessment using the three centers

This mindfulness assessment is a way to get a sense of where you’re at in your three centers: your body, your heart, and your mind. Each of the centers serves a different purpose in our personality and in our functioning. Each one presents different obstacles when we’re not being present.

The body is our connection to physical sensation. When we’re not present in the body, we’re out of touch with our physical needs, and we don’t pay attention to important signals of stress, trauma, chemistry, or desire. A mindfulness practice and getting coached around the body can help us create and uphold boundaries, respect our body’s needs and signals, and feel more at home in the body.

The heart gets us in touch with who we are at our core. When we’re not present in the heart, we’re disconnected from our true identities, we’re closed off from being touched by the world, and our emotions don’t have freedom to exist without judgment. Being more mindful with the heart center can help us be open and vulnerable, allow and process our emotions, and know at a deep level who we truly are.

The mind helps us navigate the world and create meaning. When we’re not present in the mind, we can be controlled by mental narratives, we don’t trust our own judgment, and we lack insight and perspective. Life coaching targets the mind first and foremost, using mindset work and belief work to create powerful results in your life. I use mindfulness as well, acknowledging that some thoughts and mental narratives won’t go away, but being present with them takes away some of their power.

Life coaching

I will coach you on any specific topic you’d like guidance on. Coaching is a co-creation of an experience, where the coach offers perspective, insight, and presence as the client seeks to solve a problem and achieve certain results. The coach facilitates a process of change, and the client takes the action to create the change.

I’ll be fully present for our conversation, listening between the lines, and guiding you in the direction you want to go.

We’d be good fit to work together during these free sessions if you:

  • Are interested in coaching but not ready to invest long-term yet
  • Are curious about what it’s like to work with me in a coaching capacity
  • Overthink things and would like more perspective beyond your anxiety or stress
  • Want to reconnect with your flow and innate intuition
  • Want a deeper, more personalized experience with the present moment
  • Have a mindfulness practice and want to instill the changes you’ve gone through
  • Are starting your mindfulness practice and want direction moving forward

You will come away feeling more present and at peace about your current situation. But you will also be inspired to create changes and move forward. I’m looking forward to meeting with you!

Hey there, You're receiving this email because you signed up for my newsletter when I was offering life coaching with mindfulness as one of my main tools. I learned so much over the last few years, whether through the Enneagram, books on spirituality like The Power of Now, and life coaching tools, but I will no longer be offering life coaching. If I decide to offer coaching specifically to writers again in the future, you'll be the first to know. Right now though, I am focused on my fiction...

I took a seven year break from writing books. In my teens and my early 20s, I was a fervent writer. I couldn't get enough. My mind was full of stories, and most of my spare moments were dedicated to writing these down. Out of the many ones I finished, I self-published seven novels and four novellas, I had book signings at bookstores, and I frequented writing groups. Then in 2016, my life completely changed. A series of shifts and breaks in my relationships and spiritual life led me to a...

Hi everyone, I'm excited to share a new offering in my coaching business: one-on-one support during your writing journey. Who is this service for? I work with writers who are hitting blocks in their process of writing, editing, and publishing. Whether it's procrastination, self-doubt, overthinking, or imposter syndrome, I can help. You can be a seasoned writer, brand new, or somewhere in the middle. You can write fiction, poetry, memoirs, scripts, or blog posts. Maybe the first draft is...
