When we're present, we can see the emotions that might be driving our indecision. Maybe it's fear of something not working out. It might be anxiety of losing an option. It might be insecurity, a lack of confidence, a fear of change, or just plain stubbornness. Seeing those emotions and sitting with them can help us move past the block.
When we're present, we can track the thought patterns that prevent us from making decisions. We can see thoughts like:
We can question these thoughts with gentle curiosity. We can choose new thoughts to support a lifestyle where we're not spinning in indecision all the time.
When we're present, we can see a decision for what it is and get in touch with the simple, neutral facts about whatever choice is in front of us. We don't get caught up in mental narratives about the worst case scenario or what other people will think.
And lastly, when we're present, we're more equipped to deal with the consequences of a "wrong" choice. Many times, in my opinion, there isn't a wrong choice. But if something unexpected happens, we know we can deal with it because we're in the here and now.
This is what I do with my clients. I help you sit with your emotions. I help you question your thoughts. I help you feel more in control of your life by strengthening your connection to the present moment. You can always email me for more information on coaching. I offer a transformation in six months, and we'll meet every week to create lasting change in your life. Just hit 'reply' to get started.

If I decide to offer coaching specifically to writers again in the future, you'll be the first to know. Right now though, I am focused on my fiction...

My mind was full of stories, and most of my spare moments were dedicated to writing these down. Out of the many ones I finished, I self-published seven novels and four novellas, I had book signings at bookstores, and I frequented writing groups. Then in 2016, my life completely changed. A series of shifts and breaks in my relationships and spiritual life led me to a...
